Neurothing was created in Poznan (Poland) in last months of 2004. At that time the final instrumental line-up was formed and the band defined the direction in which to go in the future. The next step was to record the drums at Candida Recording Studio with the thought of a promo EP release, but we were still missing the vocals. After a few months of searching in the beginning of 2005 Chupasangre joined the band and his vocals gave our material the right character and sound. It was an important step forward for Neurothing. Soon awesome vocal lines were created and we choose 4 songs for our promo material.

In the late spring Neurothing began recording guitars and vocals. This time at Laronermma Recording Institute with the help of a recognized sound engineer and producer Jacek Chraplak who also was responsible for mixing and mastering of 'Vanishing Celestial Bodies'. It was a good choice, Jacek Chraplak did exactly what the band expected from him and end of June our material was already mastered. After a few months of creative work, on 11 July, 2005 Neurothing officially appeared at MySpace. The tracks presented there met with an enthusiastic reception from the users of the portal. At the end of September 2005 the EP: 'Vanishing Celestial Bodies' finally appeared . It contained 4 tracks and 'Macheta' video and was warmly received by the press (eg.Metal Hammer) and listeners.

Neurothing was still at work, on July 16th we finished shooting of the promo video to 'Macheta'. The video appeared in the multimedia part of the Promo EP 2005. The video clip premiere took place on October the 7th in 'Mozg' Club, Bydgoszcz. It is also available on the official website of Neurothing. Last months of 2005 were first of all dedicated to work on our new material but we also experienced an unexpected change. Bocian decided to left the band, because current development of Neurothing failed to meet his music plans. But at the same time we welcomed 'the prodigal son' - Maciuperski back, who made the rhythmic part of our music even more energetic and opened new prospects for the Neurothing's rhythmic section.

In the first half of the year 2006 Neurothing played a series of gigs with their new bass player and currently - with fresh energy and ideas - they are preparing a completely new full-size material which should be a natural but a little bit more complex continuation of the style defined on the 'Vanishing Celestial Bodies' EP. They are also still looking for a label to release their debut album scheduled for the first half of 2007.

Robert Roszczynski Interview:

SD.com: How old were you when you started playing?

Buli: I started a bit late, I was about 16-17 years old...

SD.com: Did you play in a school band or any drum corps?

Buli: No, I didn't take part is such activities.Never.

SD.com: Ever take any lessons?

Buli: No, I'm a "self-made man" ;-) The truth is that I tried to attend a school of music, but I was overwhelmed by the number of responsibilities and didn't succeed.

SD.com: Who are your top 5 influences?

Buli: T.Haake, P Bostaph, J.Michael, S.Jacobs, V.Poul

SD.com: Assuming that influences doesn't mean favorites, who are your favorites?

Buli: In my case the influences and favorites are the same, so I already answered that question.

SD.com: Let us know 5 CD's that are in your current rotation

Buli: I dusted off the last LP of Gojira lately, as to the rest I often listen to Meshuggah - Nothing, Mekong Delta - Dances of Death, Exhorder - The Law and Lady Pank (Polish rock band) - Ohyda.

SD.com: Do you practice any specific rudiments or combo's regularly?

Buli: No, I don't practise anything special. I just learn the drum part that was created during our rehearsals. I play it as a whole, from beginning to end, without sweating over some selected part and after some time I start playing it systemaltically better and better till I achieve my goal.

SD.com: What is your favorite part of your drum kit?

Buli: As probably every drummer I do have a favourite part of my drum kit. My very special favourite is Istanbul Agop Traditional China 14"

SD.com: Do you have any pre-show rituals?

Buli: A ritual...hmm - a good strong black coffee and a lot of mineral water later on... As for the special pre-show preparations... I always wash my hair, :-PPP

SD.com: If you could give one piece of advice to young drummers, it would be...

Buli: Practise, practise and once again practise!!

SD.com: Who gave the best live performance you've ever seen?

Buli: It's hard to answer this question, 'cause there were too many drummers who thrilled me but I can tell you for sure that most of them were jazz drummers

SD.com: If you had to stop drumming, what would you want to do with your life?

Buli: Start drumming ;-P
