Keep up with Don here: Â
As their name implies, Holotype's music has a distinctive sound and style all of its own. Fusing together fierce screams and aggressive music with infectious melodies and a focus on solid songwriting, Holotype's music covers the full spectrum of heaviness and melody. With influences ranging from more melodious acts such as 36 Crazyfists and Sevendust to metal masters Slipknot and Shadows Fall, you will find yourself locked in by a sweeping melody one moment and pummeled by an aggressive onslaught the next. Formed in late 2003, Holotype have made a name for themselves in the Florida music scene through ruthless promoting, passing out countless copies of their E.P., and putting on one of the most electrifying live performances around. Currently Holotype is recording for their first full-length release with Orlando-based producers Justin Thomas and Brett Hestla (Virgos Merlot, Faktion, Dark New Day) at Gridlock Studios in Orlando, Florida.  Don Cadman Interview:   SD.com: How old were you when you started playing?   SD.com: Did you play in a school band or any drum corps?   SD.com: Ever take any lessons?   SD.com: Who are your top 5 influences?   SD.com: Assuming that influences doesn't mean favorites, who are your current favorites?   SD.com: Let us know 5 CD's that are in your current rotation  Â
