Malte: 12 years old
SD.com: Did you play in a school band or any drum corps? Malte: my band is a freakin school band haha
SD.com: Who are your top 5 influences? Malte: in chronological order: Joey Jordison, Jordan Mancino, Elliot Sellers, Navene Koperwies, Alex Pelletier
SD.com: Assuming that influences doesn't mean favorites, who are your favorites? Malte: umm. I love the cymbal work of Elliot Sellers and Navene Koperwies. There are so many awesome metal drummers who play very fast and clean. I love Alex Pelletier, Derek Roddy and the new guy in Necrophagist, Romain Goulon. One of my special favs is Nick Barkers work in Dimmu Borgir, but these are only a few examples.
SD.com: Let us know 5 CD's that are in your current rotation Malte:
SD.com: What do you do to warm up before a show? Malte: mostly nothing lol. If I don't forget it, a little stretching and maybe fooling around on the kit, moments before the show
SD.com: Do you have a favourite brand of drums or cymbals? Malte: not really, I like meinl effect cymbals
SD.com: If you could give one piece of advice to younger drummers, it would be... Malte: keep practising and having fun. If you don't have fun when you're playing drums, you probably shouldn't do it.
SD.com: Who gave the best live performance you've ever seen? Malte: Shannon lucas of the black dahlia murder was killer
SD.com: If you had to stop drumming, what would you want to do with your life? Malte: probably play an other instrument otherwise I couldn't imagine playing trumpet or stuff.
