NAMM 2012 Axis Microtune Spring Tensioning System. The creator Darrell Johnston talking about his work on the new spring mechanism developed for Axis Percussion. This new tensioning mechanism allows ease of adjustment, as well as a much greater degree of precision and accuracy in fine scale tuning. The "slide tensioner" delivers resolution over 2 1/2 more precisely than before, and provides a greater tension range from Axis Percussion's extension springs. They have also added a ball-bearing swivel on the lower end of the spring for a little extra freedom and the Halo Design prevents the spring from twisting or becoming out of alignment.
