Origin, Misery Index and Abysmal Dawn will join forces for the 2008 installment of the Relapse Records Contamination Tour. The MySpace Metal, Decibel Magazine, and SickDrummer sponsored tour kicks off on July 21st in St. Louis, MO. A listing of confirmed tour dates and cities can be found below with more to be announced soon. Origin recently released their Antithesis album to significant critical acclaim in April. The band is currently in the midst of their first-ever European headlining tour and have recently debuted their first video for the album, for “Finite”, online at ‘Headbanger’s Blog’ Tracks taken from Antithesis can be heard now via the band’s MySpace: MySpace.com/Origin666 . Misery Index has recently completed work on their follow-up album to their Relapse debut, Discordia. The new full-length, Traitors, was recorded in Salem, MA with Kurt Ballou and is expected to see a September 30th North American release date (October 8th internationally). Misery Index will also release a digital-only EP, Dead Sam Walking, next Tuesday, June 10th, that will feature a post-Discordia collection of vinyl-only material and live tracks. The band is currently out on a Western U.S. headlining tour in support of its release. The ‘Contamination Tour’ has been a label vehicle used to expose some of its newest and most exciting bands.
