Sick Drummer Magazine is happy to announce a new contributing columnist and staff member, Mr. Dave Lozano Jr. Many of you may know Dave from his years on the road, including most of the Summer Slaughter Tours, his work with Gene Hoglan and/or Forbidden. Dave was also one of two stage managers at the first ever Sick Drummer Camp!
Some of the metal bands Dave has worked for include: Vader, Forbidden, Six Feet Under, The Faceless, Suicide Silence, As Blood Runs Black, The Black Dahlia Murder and many more. Aside from being one of the best drum tech's in the scene, Dave also has many close friends you might have heard of, including: Hannes Grossman, Marco Minnemann, Dave Mcgraw, Gene Hoglan, Kevin Talley and Lyle Cooper.
Dave will soon will be writing his own column and interactive blog, complete with question and answer forums that will cover topics such as: Drum gear, hardware, road tips (what works great on tour and what does not) and will be throwing in some guest interviews. These interviews will be with other well-known tech's in the biz, and sick drummer here and there.
If you are looking to learn about the inside, be sure to keep an eye out for Dave's first column coming soon! It is sure to further your understanding of drum gear reliability, how tours really work and inside details on stage management.
