Longstanding death metal heavyweights Dying Fetus have entered Wright Way Studios in Baltimore, MD to begin work on a new full-length album. The follow-up to 2007’s War Of Attrition is being recorded with producer Steve Wright and will see a September 2009 release. 

John Gallagher commented on the new album; “We’re stoked about starting the recording for the new Dying Fetus album. Sean, Trey, and I have put more time and energy into writing this record than any of our previous records, and it will show when we deliver the most brutal Dying Fetus album ever recorded this fall. This record will be devastating.”

Dying Fetus will join the 2009 Summer Slaughter Tour with label-mates Necrophagist and Origin as well as Suffocation, Ensiferum, Darkest Hour and many more. This four-week tour will kick-off on June 5th in Baltimore, MD. Dying Fetus will also headline the first day of this year’s LA Murderfest (LosAngelesMurderfest.com) as well as appear at Austria’s Kaltenbach Festival.
