Sick Drummer Magazine was one of three media outlets invited to the Charlie Benante Signature Stick Unveiling at the 2011 NAMM Show and the only outlet to capture it on video...
I have played sticks that were dipped in rubber compounds before and they always seemed to get very hot, due to friction created between the compound and fingers while playing. This stick did not have that effect at all! The stick was dense feeling, yet light to hold. I tried to scratch the black compound off with a quarter, but it was not coming off easily. The balance was great and bounce was amazing. We were pleasantly surprised by the look and feel of the stick and would advise checking them out...
