The new album "Formation of Damnation" Kills

Its so amazing to hear how much the production quality on albums have gone up. Listening to this and then "Souls of Black" goes to show how much progress they've made in that department. Either way when the album comes out you guys should pick it up. Its a killer record!

I need to go check that out. I've recently been getting into thrash, and I am always looking for good bands.

Josh, Josh, Josh..just getting into Thrash?.....my son...Thrash should be the foundation for any metalhead bro. It's abrasive, fuck you attitude is what started what we have today as far as metal is concerned. If it wasn't for those bands like the almighty PANTERA, Slayer, Testament, Exodus and so on we would not be were we are today. Who knows were just punk and soft rock would have gone. My recommendation is get PANTERA'S "FAR BEYOND DRIVEN" put it in the disc player turn the volume up to 20 and begin to absorb metal fuckin history. Now as far as todays thrash....kinda hard to find new bands doing it the old way, almost everyone wants to be faster and harder than everyone else. Now I have found one band I believe to have the closest thing to the old Thrash sound with a little bit of a twist, and they are "A PERFECT MURDER" check'em out bud.

Love the advice of getting Far Beyond Driven. God that album rules i'm going to have to go replay it.

Speaking of them, you mentioned A Perfect Murder. Not really my thing, but have you seen them live Randy? I think you'd get a kick out of the singer acting like Phil Anselmo on stage. It's some of the cheesiest ever!
