So I spent a good while playing drums for a punk band where i didnt get to exercise my double bass skills for quite a long while, so they have deteriorated. Well, they werent that great to begin with, but ive just joined up with a metal act and im hard pressed to get up-to snuff.
Ive been spending a ton of time working on technique and building speed. right now i can keep up good-solid 180bpm 16th's. it sounds pretty good in my head, but im just not certian how fast that really is.
i tried finding a youtube video or something where someone is playing x bpm 16ths to compare with but the only ones i found were really shitty. so my question is, if anyone has any good vids, and what are the speeds you are all playing at?
