Hi, I am a drummer from Idaho, and I've gone through 2 really low quality double bass pedals. My first one was a pdp double pedal for only 100$, then my second was the pearl 120 for only 150$. Both pedal are single chained and extremely low quality, I am going to invest in a new pedal and cant decide between the Tama Iron Cobra, or the DW 500. Someone help

My first double pedal was a single chain. It was better than nothing, but flimsey. I made sure the next one I bought was a double chain. I've never played a DW before, but assume they are good. I've had an Iron Cobra for 5 years and it's still in great shape, so I would say it's a VERY good buy.

ive tried both the dw is a bit better, either one is good depending on how you play or how you feel with it, just try them both before

It definetly depends on feel because i didn't like the iron cobra and moved to pearl eliminator 4 years ago then got a dw9000 but have gone back to my elims after 1 year on the dws so yea.

The dw is a smoother pedal. I had both and i liked the dw better than the iron cobra. The dw is easier to control but the iron cobra has more power.
