Hello all. 3 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hey everyone.
My name is Colin, I'm 14 years old, been drumming about 11 months now. Extremely die hard metal fan, mostly Death and Black.
The thing that got the drum bug into me was Job for a Cowboy. My big influences nowadays are; Pete Sandoval, Steve Asheim, Derek Roddy, The Torturer, Mike Smith, Gene Holgan and Shaun from the guitar center near me.
I've got a First-Act drum set from Wal-Mart. I've got a Tama Stagestar crash cymbal from my friend's brother's drumset. I just recently bought Zildjian ZBT 14" hi-hats and 18" crash/ride, which I use for ride. I've got a PDP double bass pedal, pretty terrible, but it serves me well. I haven't had any formal drum lessons, but recently I have been teaching myself to play in time(haven't got a metronome yet...soon) and I am going to be taking some drum lessons this summer.
I've got a drum video of some poorly recorded slower stuff, I can play alot faster and cleaner now.

Well, I'm glad to finally be a part of a drumming community and hope to find many great tips and inspirations.

Here's a link to a FREE zip file full of metronome click tracks.

www.reztronics.com/prod01.htm

Hit the "Download For Free" link, and you'll get a bunch of .mp3 files with metronome clicks at different speeds. Load them into an ipod, burn them onto a CD, or just play them through your computer speakers or whatever.

Also, if you have your computer near your kit, you can use this site:

www.metronomeonline.com/

Don't spend any more money than you have to!
