How many drummers out there do one foot blasts? 3 Years, 8 Months ago

I notice these days that there are far and few drummers that actually use the one foot technique. It's not cheating if you do a two foot blast, but I do think it's more impressive if you can pull off a one foot blast.

I think single footing sounds better. I hate the sound of 2 footing, and also the fact that people use that as a way to get to those higher tempos they can't reach either single footing or doing full-on 16ths.
I end up playing full speed while blasting because i like the sound. But, I working on my single foot blasts again.

I like doing one foot blasts, but I am not very good to be honest, I can only consistently bust out a clean one footer at tempos up to 200.... and in the band I currently play in, its all groove based, so when its time to have a blast beat its usually written in 32nd notes, at tempos like 130-140...so It's basically like 260-280. And I can't one foot that. haha
