Simple stuff is the best stuff / my gravity blasts 3 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 1
man I was watching this video and there is a part it starts at 5:30 where he breaks down the right and left hand pattern of some really simple yet sweet buddy rich style fill. I can't do it between my 1st rack and floor, so I do it between the 2 racks. check it out.

ALSO, I'm getting pretty good at my gravity blasts I can even get good volume out of my 12" snare. Now I have to start working out my left hand so I can switch left and right (for those times when i don't have a big kit with me and no china on my left. Let me know what you think, the song was a bit sloppy but who cares.

if you know of anymore simple/cool stuff like that 1st video POST IT!

Has your volume just developed over time, or is there something that you can specifically work on to improve the volume?

I'm going to have to say - developed over time - I was trying before to get good stick height (thinking that would make it louder). But, I think the volume just comes from doing it sorta clean and I still can't point out the exact technique it some arm motion and a little tiny wrist motion and I'm not keeping my grip loose anymore. But, thats is whats working for me. Lets see how many months it takes me to get my left hand going once I have some more time to practice? did you check out that buddy rich type thing josh? its sweet it you see any crap like that let me know.
