Good Extreme Metal Drumming DVDs? 4 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
So I have Flo Mounier's Extreme Metal 101, and it's great for conditioning and building speed, but I'm wondering if anyone knows a DVD that will help me think a little more creatively, maybe try some new things I haven't thought of before.

Heck, it doesn't even to be extreme metal, it's just there's a million DVDs out there, and it's hard to determine what might actually help a guy trying to build up his metal skills.

You guys got any tips?
Thanks,
Tony

Not sure what DVD's focus on creativity per say...But here are some DVD's you might wanna check out to help your playing:

Extreme Drumming from Marco Minneman

Bobby Jarzombek: Performance and Technique

Tommy Igoe Groove Essentials

Secret Weapons for the Modern Drummer

Creative Coordination & Advanced Foot Technique

There's five options for ya! I know you most likely wont be able to purchase each one, but i gave you the links so you could look at each and decide which one is best for you. I've heard good things about each DVD and depending on what exactly your looking to improve these are some of my bigger recommendations. Hope that helps out some...

Well, I just bought the Bobby Jarzombek one. Watched some of his stuff on YouTube, and it's amazing. The reviews seemed good, and getting it used at 17bucks shipping and all, that's hard to pass on.

Thanks again for the links. I'll be sure to come back and give a short review once I've gone through the disc a few times.
