This is a temporary video of James E Richardson playing a 3 over 2 foot ostinato split between different sound sources. The ostinato is used as an initial vamp and developed, with the hands improvising a range of stylistic developments until the ostinato vamp progresses into a free-form improvised solo.

The entire performance is completely improvised and references a range of stylistic playing and uploaded to provide something new in anticipation for the hosting of my website at www.jameserichardson.co.uk.

Dates for professional video recordings along to a range of backing tracks as well solos, both free-form and composed is set for September. This video is temporary until they are recorded, finished and made available.

It was recorded using a Zoom Q3. Although good quality for what t was recorded with, the sound quality is not good and in particular with the remote/auxillary hi-hat on the right, is almost impossible to hear.

It does however serve its purpose until the professional videos are available.

Just to double check....Are these links working and taking you to the video correctly? Only because they are perfectly fine for me, but aren't for some on another forum I posted them on so wondered if there is some weird, recurring problem?
