PDF SDM Download 1 Year, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi there!

I would love to see more SDM Issues downloadable in PDF. I hate this flash view. Reading makes it really hard, cause i have lots of graphical bugs in the text. The PDF-version is always clean and good to read.

Issue 15 is the latest one, I can download. Whats with the earlier and the later releases?

Greetings

Is there someone from sickdrummer itself, who can answer me that?

My last mails were not answered, so I hope here for help...

At least I'm a paying customer!

Hello,

We have had a few complaints about the magazine being difficult to read, so issue 15's font sizes were all increased by 2 points. This made it much easier to read each page without having to view the zoomed version, which is still available.

As for the current issue being available for download, as well as the earlier issues... The latest issue will be available May 1st. This is so nobody can pass around the PDF while it's still the issue only paying subscribers can access. The others will be up in spurts as soon as possible. Each of them has to be re-created and re-exported to PDF for printing. It may not sound like a lot of work, but when I do most of this myself, it's a ton.

Thanks for the support!
Ian

Thanks for the reply!

The problem is, that I've so many problems with flash. When I switch sites in the online-view-thing I get graphic-errors and broken text fragments. Then there is only the solution of reloading the page. And this all 3-6 pages. That sucks hard!

So, try to see my point of view: When I - as a paying customer - go to a local store and purchase a drumming magazine, I got it. It's my physical copy of the magazine. I can keep it forever, burn it, archive it... do whatever I want with it.
Now, we are part of an online platform right here. So, I pay a subscription-fee for the access to the magazine. Thats all truly understandable. But what is happening, when my account expires, cause I only chose to pay for 3 months for example? Then all the magazines, which were released during my membership as online-version (and not PDF-version) are for myself lost, right? It is an unacceptable point for me, that I can't access my magazines, I paid for.

Of course I understand, that it is a lot of work of exporting the issues to PDF-versions, but from our customers view: We are still paying customers, so we want of course something for our money. And when I'm honest, I wouldn't have subscribed if there were somewhere a note of no / or only a view PDF-issues...

Hope you can understand my point of view.
