Drummer required urgently for one of Canada’s finest progressive Death metal acts - due to departure of their drummer, Oshawa, Ontario based progressive death metal band STRINGS OF ARES are urgently seeking a new drummer to fill the empty throne. Strings of Ares have recently inked a deal with Sudbury Metal label ARCHAIC NORTH ENTERTAINMENT for the release of their "Temple to Mars" album, due out Halloween 2010. The album is currently being mixed by Neil Kernon (of Nile/Cannibal Corpse fame) & will be available through Century Media Distribution, Red Stream, Abyss Records, Humanity's Plague records, Diminished Fifth & on the Archaic North website.
Several gigs are booked starting with the Michigan Death Fest 20th anniversary in August (on the weekend of the 21st - which will include a few gigs on the road down to the fest from August 17th to 21st) & then a 3 day "cd release" party on Halloween weekend, October 28th in Toronto, 29th in London & 30th in Sudbury, Ontario - we need to find someone for the drum throne soon and are hopeful to have someone rehearsing with the band by July or sooner.
If you're a drummer & want to play with an exciting and fresh metal band - please contact us we're looking for a hard working, reliable, honest, tight and professional drummer who is open to creativity in writing & travelling with the band on the road (anywhere and everywhere)! It would be extremely favourable if you are confident and highly skilled at one-foot blast beats, Pete Sandoval/George Kollias style speed double kick drumming and relentless drum fills!
