Has anybody ever tried this. I just got some Ddrum triggers and a Alesis DM-5 brain and want to kill all head resonance.

taking the reso head off will eliminate it, but then that would look goofy

you could also probably use coated reso heads to kill those overtones

Pretty sure that would kill everything but the initial "attack" on the drum...i suppose thats not bad if your trying to achieve a more "silent" kit, and wouldn't really hurt the sound of triggered drums...but in that case you could also just buy practice mesh heads for your drums which barely make any noise at all...
