I was just wondering what kick drum heads people use.

Im currently using Remo Powersonic. Even though its quiet expensive (£45 a head) it has plenty of attack and when tuned right it sounds like your punching someone in the face. It has whats called the "ESDS" (its like a clip on muffle attachment you put on the front) gives you added flexibility.

Even though I love this head and i would recomend it to anyone, it would be cool to try a few different heads out.

I just use the old remo powerstroke III on the kick side, and an aquarian superkick II on the resonant. It has worked out fine for me so far.

I just drop a pillow in the kick and tune the kick side kind of tight, and the resonant VERY loose.

Normally I'm a remo guy myself weather king, power stroke, as long as its 2 ply. But, I tried out the Emad 2 (2 ply) and I'm liking that for now.

I hear the Emads wear out fairly fast. Any truth to that for the Emad users?
