The Throne Thumper is the result of collaboration between Pearl and Buttkicker.  Pearl developed the Throne Thumper to fall between the Pro and Gaming model of the Buttkicker, feeling the Pro model was a bit too powerful for the drummer not playing in a stadium and the Gaming model was best suited for just that.  Pearl also developed the 'Fast' or 'Quick Release Clamp' making the Throne Thumper super easy to quickly add to or remove from any drum throne.  The Throne Thumper is essentially a shaker that attaches to your drum throne.
