I kept thinking my 18" crash was cracked but I couldn't find it, only after I'd recorded all tracks did the crack show up. I tuned my kit a bit lower than usual, for a more "old school" sound. We used longer uninterrupted takes than I'm used to, which contributes to a more lively feel. |
