This is me doing Phobophile by Cryptopsy on drums.
A little over a year ago, I posted a cover of Phobophile by Cryptopsy that I eventually deleted. It was deleted because it was the perfect example of covering a song before you're ready. The timing and accuracy were crap, the blasting and double bass weren't up to speed, and the whole thing sounded like it was thrown in a food processor. Needless to say, a year's worth of improvement has surely enhanced the covering abilities of yours truly.
I will say this about the hyper blasting section though: unless you have been practicing flying fingers at high speeds for long periods of time, doing the 300 BPM blasting is impossible. While I didn't just cheat and do a single stroke roll like the previous cover, I still did not hit the necessary speed. So, knowing that I couldn't play the blasting at the right speed, I just played as fast as my hands would let me and played the normal speed on the kicks for the hyper blasting section.
Watch, like, comment, and subscribe so I can get a full version of Videopad so I don't hafta go back to using fucking Windows Movie Maker.
Thanks for watching.
